Ndikho Xaba was a South African pianist, political exile, and spiritual jazz pioneer. In 1971, he recorded a legendary Afro-centric jazz album with his group, Ndikho Xaba and the Natives. Known for building his own instruments, he fused Zulu beat with raw, radical music alongside his poet wife, Nomusa.
