Embaye Habtemichael, known as Embaye Habtu, is revered as the Godfather of Eritrean Musical Awlo. In 1964, he moved to Addis Ababa and co-founded Megaleh Guayla alongside Bereket Mengisteab to bring traditional Eritrean roots music to broader audiences.
