Khalid Mohamed, professionally known as TID, is a pioneer Tanzanian Bongo Flava singer, songwriter, and actor from Dar es Salaam. He rose to fame in the early 2000s as a leading vocalist across East Africa. His signature breakout single "Zeze" gained global exposure on Putumayo World Music's Global Soul compilation. He launched his solo career with "Mrembo" in 2002 and solidified his star status with massive hits like "Siamini", "Nyota Yako", and "Girlfriend". Throughout his career, he starred in the landmark 2003 film Girlfriend, fronted the live group Top Band, and released four studio albums.
