Born on April 18, 1945, in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he became a cornerstone of the legendary band TPOK Jazz alongside Franco Luambo Makiadi. Modero is widely respected for his sophisticated horn arrangements and his ability to blend traditional African rhythms with modern orchestral influences.
