Moffat Omari (Mr Googz)

Country Kenya

A pioneer of modern Kenyan urban music, Moffat Omari, better known as Mr. Googz, began his career in the late 1990s as a secular ragga star. He helped shape the country's early urban music scene with massive hits like "Wasee (Githurai)." At the height of his mainstream success in 2005, he changed his life and career focus entirely. Today, he uses his voice as a gospel artist and serves as a full-time church pastor and youth mentor in Nairobi.
