Ntombi Marhumbini (born Mavis Ntombi Ngwenya, 1970–2017) was a prominent South African recording artist celebrated as the "Queen of Shangaan Disco." Hailing from Msogwaba village in Mpumalanga, she launched her professional music career in 1995 and became famous for her soulful vocals and a signature sound that fused traditional Shangaan rhythms with modern electronic beats. Over her decades-long career, she collaborated with notable figures like General Muzka and King General, releasing popular hits such as "Jelani Jelani" and "Bovoza." Beyond her musical legacy, she was a respected entrepreneur in her community and was posthumously honored for her contributions to South African music at the 2025 Munghana Lonene FM Music Awards.
