Swabri Mohammed, known on stage as Redsan, is a Kenyan dancehall and ragga artist who has been a mainstay of East Africa’s music scene since the early 2000s. He got his start after winning a talent search at Nairobi’s Carnivore venue, which quickly brought him into the fold of the legendary Ogopa Deejays production stable. His first album, Seasons of the San, made him a household name across the region thanks to massive radio and club hits like "Julie" and "Wanipa Raha," where he mixed English and Swahili with a natural patois delivery. Redsan was also one of the first Kenyan artists to really focus on cross-border collaborations, teaming up with Uganda's Jose Chameleone early on, and later working with Jamaican singer Demarco on the remix of "Badder Dan Most."
